I hate Crystal Lake. They mess with everyone. They come by rental properties of mine and constantly harass me. First it was because my lawn was to long. Because I was out of town when it was raining and I didn't cut it for a week. Then because my other rental propoerty had a child swimming pool set up and they require a fence around it. Its a blow up pool from Menards. we have 48 hours to comply or else they will give a fine. Same inspector. its BS they are just trying to drum up extra revenue. We need to stand up to the Mayor and his goons. These guys think they are untouchables. But they are just like the rest of the shady politicians out there. Lining there pockets with our money.
The folks you are talking about (inspectors) are PAID by the people of Crystal Lake to uphold the towns ordinances. They are doing the job YOU pay them to do! If you don't like the ordinances then do something to have them changed, don't just complain about the enforcers... Jeez, oh and 'there' is spelled 'their'!
I just found about about this site and it saddens me to see that the comment made on June 30 is so negative. I agree with the follow-up comment. Let's not complain--let's try to change things! If you hate Crystal Lake, maybe this isn't the community for you. My family moved to CL in 1965 and I have lived in this town for the past 30 years. It IS a good place to live. I want to help make it even better, for everyone.
